My name is Rod Woodson and I'm the new Men’s Varsity head basketball coach. I grew up in Fort Wayne Indiana and in high school played three sports: football, basketball and track.
I went to Purdue University where I played football. I spent the next seventeen years playing in the National Football League and was inducted into the NFL’s Hall of Fame in 2009.
I co-founded the Bay Area Lady Warriors basketball program in 2003, which is a summer club team and over the last six years twenty girls from our program have gone on to play Division I college basketball. My goal for the boys program is to build young men to face their challenges in a Godly manner and to live and to do what is right at all times, and also to have confidence in all of God’s promises to us as His children. I also have 4 children going through the Valley Christian School system. |
