Head Varsity Coach – Natasha Gamboa
Natasha has been in the tennis industry for the past two decades in various capacities. From starting out as a junior instructor, getting her professional teaching certification and training at a well-known tennis academy, to holding the Head Pro position at a prestigious country club, she has has had the opportunity to grow as both teaching professional and coach. Having played NorCal tennis as a junior and going on to play at the collegiate level, Natasha has had hands on experience at what it takes to develop as a player and enjoys passing on that knowledge and skill to the future generation of tennis players.
She is a now a full-time mom of two boys, part-time tennis professional at the Crow Canyon Country Club in San Ramon, CA and is looking forward to sharing some of that time with Valley Christian School.
*Played collegiate tennis at Sweet Briar College in Virginia (1995-1999), held #1 singles and doubles positions
*Worked at the Van Der Meer Tennis Academy in Hilton Head, SC as a tennis professional (trained beginning-intermediate juniors, world class junior players and adults) (1999-2000)
*Assistant Tennis Professional at the Rockbridge Club in Columbia, SC as well Junior team tennis coach (2000-2001)
*Assistant Tennis Professional at Blackhawk Country Club, Danville, CA (2001-2004)
*Head Tennis Professional at Blackhawk Country Club, Danville, CA (2004-2009) Ran all junior and adult programs, including summer junior tennis team and junior tournament traveling team. Reported to Director of Tennis and oversaw most back-end operations of the department.
*Assistant Pro Shop Manager and Tennis Professional at Diablo Country Club (2009-2010) (buyer for the full service pro shop)
