Track & Field Co-Head Coach
This is the beginning of a new chapter for our family. Along with my wife of ten years, Emily, daughter Bailey, and soon-to-be son, I am looking forward to joining the Valley Christian community. My goal at Valley Christian Schools is to prepare students to be the Christian leaders of tomorrow and reach their full potential through academic and athletic excellence.
I believe the most successful people in life exhibit discipline, a strong work ethic, loyalty, and teamwork. Our players will be expected to embody these characteristics.
We will teach our players to set goals, and learn how to keep these goals in focus and achieve them. The ultimate purpose of our program is to have each student-athlete leave with a superior education and a feeling that his four years at Valley Christian, and in our football program, have been the best four years of his life.
I have eleven years of varsity coaching experience, six of which have been as the head football coach at Northgate High School in Walnut Creek. In my six-year tenure there, Northgate went from not having a winning season in fifteen years to becoming one of the top schools in Division 2 of North Coast Section, reaching the playoffs three out of the last four years. Prior to Northgate, I coached three years at Martin Luther King High School and two years at West Valley High School as a defensive coordinator.
As an educator, I have taught for ten years. I graduated from the University of Redlands with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and continued to earn a master’s degree in the area of Special Education, as well as a multi-subject teaching credential from Azusa Pacific University.
Valley Christian is a special place and I am excited to work with a great administrative team to build one of the most respected football programs in the Bay Area.
